Future Songs
Three years after the demise of their former label Dedicated, the Cranes
return with a new album and fresh sound. Future Songs sees them break away
from their trademark industrial guitars, replacing them with delicate
melodies that are just as hypnotic but offer more depth. Centre stage as
ever is Alison Shaw, with her baby-doll voice. This is pop done with a
very stately grace. Cranes' future looks very rosy indeed .
