As the trooper I am, I got to the club early and
waited for the doors to open. Not too many people
there to see MATTHEW. I staked out my position up
front and center. Not a soul in sight till the end of
Matthew's set. MATTHEW were great even though they
had some technical difficulties, namely a beer being
spilled in a power strip. Great set though.
The place filled up rather quick. I wasn't quite sure
how the music would translate libe. After the first
few chords of SUBMARINE were struck all my questions
were halted. They played like a well oiled machine.
Not much crowd banter, but straight forward rock.
Highlights for me in the main set included future
song, lilies, far away and adrift. The encore was
beyond perfect. Each song lent itself to each other,
a perfect end to the night.
